MC Shaitan is the pioneer of hip-hop/rap movement in Tajikistan. While started performing already in 1996, he rapidly moved up from the underground stages to become one of the trendy artist in Tajikistan. From 2001 to 2003 MC Shaitan recorded several songs in collaboration with Tajik artists, creating fusion of hip-hop and traditional rhythms, as well as experimenting with other music genres.
